Nowadays, almost everything in the world is digital and computerized. People and enterprises use the computer and the World Wide Web to market and advertise their products effectively. A web page has become an absolute requirement for all these advertisers.

A web page design should be quite good and interesting to look at. The popularity of Flash design is such that a good design may even enhance the reputation of a product or company. A clear and easy to follow web page can be designed if Flash design is combined with a normal HTML based web page.

Adobe Flash (formerly Macromedia Flash) is made use of to design a flash based web page. A flash page comprises images, movies, background music and other multimedia content. A competent flash designer will be able to make a professional looking web page, considering the audience demographics and product nature while designing.

There are many advantages of Flash design. A flash web page is extremely interactive, and it makes a strong impression on a first time visitor. Any type of information, like a company profile or a product synopsis can be made into a short Flash based presentation, and can be explained to the visitor in a short period of time. Another advantage of Flash design is that a good design can attract viewers and bring a lot of traffic to the website.

Flash pages can also contain interesting games to entertain the user while the actual web page is being loaded. A product is now considered good only if it has a good flash based web page. The need for navigation bars is eliminated by the use of Flash design.

The flash games and introductory applications can sometimes be extracted and saved as separate flash files for distribution and marketing purposes. Special effects and illusions can be used to present to the visitor the unique features of the company or a product, in a slide show format with added graphics and voice-overs.

Flash web pages run on special plug-ins and the plug-ins are available for download on various sites and all that the user needs to do is install them. Search Engines generally did not pick up flash based web pages a few years back. Nowadays, search engine compatibility has been enhanced by the use of search engine optimization tools that include Flash data also. Tools like Google PageRank allocate ranks to various web pages and a flash page can have a very high rank.

Flash design can be done by using Adobe Dreamweaver also. Here, the user can just insert images, video and audio, and the flash code will automatically be generated, like a HTML code in Microsoft FrontPage. XML (eXtensible Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) can also be used.

A good flash design should make use of different colors and this can add to the beauty of the page. They should be RSS feed compatible. A competent flash design based web page should take only a few seconds to load, and should be really attractive and small in size.

A flash designer can take pride in his/her skills only if he/she can exhibit his/her creativity in flash design. Beginners can also try their hand at flash design if a personal page or an informal website is to be designed.
